- Harald Tom Nesvik (born May 4, 1966 in Ålesund, Norway) is a Norwegian politician. He is a member of the Progress Party (FrP) and is perhaps most famous outside Norway for nominating Tony Blair and George W. Bush for the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize.
- Einar Henry Gerhardsen (May 10, 1897 – September 19, 1987) was a Norwegian politician from the Labour Party of Norway. He was Prime Minister for three periods, 1945 - 1951, 1955 - 1963 and 1963 - 1965.
- The Norwegian Constitution Day (parade pictured) is the National Day of Norway and is an official national holiday each year. Among Norwegians, the day is referred to simply as syttende mai (meaning May Seventeenth), Nasjonaldagen (The National Day) or Grunnlovsdagen (The Constitution Day), although the latter is less frequent. The day marks the signing of the Norwegian Constitution in Eidsvoll, May 17, 1814.

- Abraham Theodor Berge (pictured) (August 20, 1851–July 10, 1936) was a Norwegian politician representing Venstre, the social liberal party, and later Frisinnede Venstre, a right-of-centre party. Born in Lyngdal in present-day Vest-Agder, he was Prime Minister of Norway from 1923 to 1924.
- John Lyng (August 22, 1905 - January 18, 1978) was a Norwegian politician from the Conservative Party. He was Prime Minister of Norway from August 28 to September 25, 1963 in a coalition government of the Conservative Party, the Center Party, the Christian Democratic Party, and the Liberal Party.
