Hi, I joined you wikipedians in October 2003. I also have users on the Swedish Wikipedia, WikiBooks, WikiNews, and Wikimedia Commons.

I focus on contributing to the English Wikipedia (community portal) rather than the Swedish Wikipedia (community portal), because I prefer to expand on content that's usually more developed, instead of writing or translating content when I know another source has a much more complete version in an international language. Otherwise it feels like I'm doing redundant work, although I understand some Swedes, although quite few these days, have very limited English knowledge. In some cases, I discuss things on the Swedish version if it's domestic matters, but for general subjects I tend to end up working on the English version.

Maybe some Swedes dislike this stance, and feel I'm worsening the quality of the Swedish Wikipedia by being fairly active but contributing to another language, despite having Swedish as a native language and being more than able to improve the situation there. But it's a choice I've made anyway, and my honest reason behind the decision is given above; simply that I prefer doing more for the international community and expanding on often more sizable articles than writing a lot of stubs that are accessible by basically only one country.
