Brought up in Shirley, Southampton and attended King Edward VI School (Southampton). Went to Lancaster University (living in Morecambe, Wray and Halton). Then stayed in the north. Interested in the Eden Valley, especially the area between Brougham and Appleby in Westmorland including Ninekirks and Whinfell Forest. Also enjoy Castlerigg stone circle, Long Meg and Her Daughters and Mayburgh Henge. Favourite band is probably Nightwish, but I'll also happily listen to anything vaguely associated with Waterson:Carthy, and I've recently discovered Arcade Fire.
