Template talk:NorthernIrishTowns

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ulster banner is not the flag of Northern Ireland, and flags are not neededin this template.--padraig 16:46, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

This template is still protected, which is really frustrating to me as a researcher (as opposed to an editor) in this instance. Can we not look at a way forwards here?
How about navigation templates for counties or districts? This approach is used by some English articles (like at the bottom of Blackburn article) - nulifying the need for a national flag regardless of standpoint, and allowing more settlement and topic articles to be linked. There is no need for a flag in this template, and it certainly shouldn't have a un-offical flag that has not represented Northern Ireland in any fashion since 1973, and is not recognised by either the British Governent or the Northern Ireland Executive.--padraig 01:16, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
On another issue can anyone else get this template to show as it dosen't for me.--padraig 01:19, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
I agree on the flag issue - but I'm trying to suggest a way forwards. The template does not show for me too, and I presume that has something to do with the protection status. Jza84 02:07, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Template no showing

Thats still not working.--padraig 02:25, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Thats shows but the content has to be moved to {{{body}}} field.--padraig 02:27, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
Thats fine, Thanks.--padraig 02:43, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Convert to navbox from navbox generic

I'm requesting that this be converted from the deprecated {{Navbox generic}} to the new standard {{Navbox}}. All that needs to be done is to delete the word "generic" from the template call. Thanks, --CapitalR 18:04, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Autocollapse

Can this template be set to State Autocollapse please? Peter Clarke (talk) 12:26, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
