As much as I would love to leave this as Newport News Shipbuilding, wouldn't it be more appropriate to move this to Northrop Grumman Newport News? Izuko 20:31, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

If you want to fix all the redirs, sure. Stan 00:56, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
I think it should be moved too. I'll help with the redirects, if you like. Sarah crane 11:59, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
That would be a great help. What I'm doing (so we have it be consistant) is changing all those built after the merger with Northrop Grumman straight over to NGNN. For those built before the merger (which is probably everything other than the Reagan, Bush, CVNX, DDX, and a few subs), I'm changing the link, but piping it so it still says Newport News Shipbuilding, since that was the name of the company when the ship was delivered (it's the actual delivery date I'm going by). Then I'm refreshing after each one to make sure it goes away from the "what links here" page. Izuko 15:22, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Nobody even mentioned that between 1968 and 1996 NNS&DDC was owned by Tenneco.--Powerpaw2 03:31, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
The formation of Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding also includes what was formerly Northrop Grumman Ship Systems in Pascagoula, Mississippi, which builds Destroyers for the Navy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.54.92.149 (talk) 17:24, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
