The Northfield page still needs quite a bit of work done. There are quite a few unverified claims here. Downtown Northfield is great, but where's the source that says so?, etc. These are just my thoughts. I will do a general copyread and see if I can improve the article some. There is sure a lot of advertising in this page. Should we really list all of these restaurants, bars and hotels? Who will keep up with them as they go in and out of business? Will Wikipedia be sued if a restaurant not mentioned here accuses of unfair advertising? RickK 02:19, 22 Aug 2003 (UTC)

No to both, I think. I'm going to take a machete to it.Vicki Rosenzweig 02:35, 22 Aug 2003 (UTC)

It would be nice to be able to see where every town that we search is loacated (what state, where in that state etc.)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:NorthfieldCVB sm.gif

Image:NorthfieldCVB sm.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Needs help

The history section is bogus original research and excuse me, Burnsville center is in Burnsville and has little to do with Northfield, 40 minutes away. Others can contribute, please help. .:DavuMaya:. 16:22, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

Burnsville Center may be 30 minutes away, but it certainly is competition for Northfield retailers as is the Mall of America. Similarly, the Muller Family Theater (20 minutes away) in Lakeville competes successfully for movie goers from Northfield. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bartbee55057 (talkcontribs) 14:36, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

DavuMaya, your sarcastic "excuse me" and tone are unwelcome here. Please point out how the "history section is bogus". Burnsville has a *lot* to do with the small towns south/surrounding it. spelunkster 15:08, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Arts and Culture?

The Arts and Culture section needs significant additions. DJJD is not the only form of art in town. NAG (Northfield Arts Guild), I Cantanti (sp?), the summer Bridge Square Concerts should all be included. The Rock and Roll revival put on by NHS (Northfield High School) students is pretty well attended.Calebrw (talk) 15:27, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Sport?

Should sports be mentioned in detail? Northfield Knights, Legion baseball. NBA (Northfield Baseball Association). I know there are a few youth soccer teams as well, but I am not as familiar with them? Other youth sports on the large-scale level? Carleton and St. Olaf both have varsity sports teams and a summery of those could be included. Calebrw (talk) 15:30, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
