[edit] Flag: PNG vs SVG (edit no. 85519683)

The accompanying comment was that the SVG is incorrect. As far as I can see the SVG has a less detailed lighthouse while the PNG is not correct either, since the Union Flag is drawn incorrectly---if the flag needs to be drawn to a specification, then neither flag is good.

Even with the above comment, the SVG was better because even if the lighthouse was not totally correct, at least it could be covered under artistic licence; there is never an allowance for an incorrect Union Flag since specs are easily found.

Well spotted, I hadn't noticed that the arms of the canton were the wrong size, and I have fixed them accordingly (based on WP's own specs). There is always an allowance for an incorrect union flag (an incorrect anything) due purely to human error in good faith, however :) Emoscopes ^Talk 12:08, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Does anyone know why the NLB changed the name of the lighthouse in 1964 from Dhuheartach to the present form Dubh Artach, or how to find out? Thanks, Ben MacDui (Talk) 08:37, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
