Talk:Northern Dragons

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Removed Notability tag - Northern Dragons is a highly notable demogroup, with an active and current presence in the demoscene. Compare to other notable group tAAt. Also, why was this page deleted in January, and can anyone provide a snapshot of the previous version? Recreating all of the text from scratch is a pain. --Gigertron 17:42, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Umm, because you say they're notable doesn't make them notable. Try some factual references and the guideline for notability. --Vossanova o< 17:56, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Read my statement again. I said "active and current presence in the demoscene." That's a fact. It supports the earlier phrase in the statement. In any case, this demogroup article is practically identical to all other existing demogroup articles, in structure and content. This group also produces as many or more productions, and wins as many competitions as other demogroups with articles in WP, in addition to fostering the culture through activities like the in4k site (see the article). I see you worked on the demoscene article. The list of competitions won, the pouet production list, and the link to the official group site should be enough to establish notability as a demogroup. If it's not, then no demogroups are notable, and if the groups aren't notable, it's hard to say that the demoscene and Demo(computer programming) articles are, even if they've got commercial print coverage. --Gigertron 07:03, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
