Talk:North York, Ontario

[edit] Seperation from Toronto
There have been news articles talking about how North York is becoming unhappy with the Toronto mega-city, mostly because of the decline in the quality of municipal services. They claim that North York wishes to become an independant city once more. Should this be incorporated into the article?
I deleted the entire section on "Buildings in North York". None of the buildings were particularly notable (except perhaps for the Inn on the Hill, which its own article claims has been demolished), and almost every external link was for a site with virtually no information on the buildings in question except to lease space in them. I suspect it's another case of using Wikipedia as an advertising service. Potatophysics 08:30, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
A map showing the boundaries of North York, as defined by major streets and such, would be terribly useful. Sherurcij (Speaker for the Dead) 22:17, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Korean restaurants
No information about the numerous Korean restarants on Yonge street north of 401 ? I spotted about 30 of them within 20 minutes. sikander 03:14, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

North York has a high amount of crime due to Jane street, Jane and Finch and other streets.
[edit] 2006 census
North York's population isn't independently reported by the Canadian Census anymore...2006 census figure is calculated by summing all of North York's component census tracts. Marathone 09:25, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
