[edit] Education - top 20 state schools list
I've removed North Cestrian as it's been put at no.21 in a top 20 list, it's an independent not a state school, and even if it was it wouldn't be next on the list (it looks like Urmston Grammar School would be 21st). The source I found (on the Guardian website) is divided into sections and includes independent schools, if a better source is found this can be replaced (or when tables for 2007 can be found). --Snigbrook (talk) 19:38, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- I restored the original removal. Now that I've heard the explanation, removal of the entry seems perfectly all right and justified to me. DDStretch (talk) 22:54, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The formatting of section 3 (Important towns, etc)
The formatting of this section has been set up in a way which makes my display mangle the entire section: the images over-write the third column of the text. I'm on an 1024 x 768 sized display, which i don't think is yet too old fashioned to ignore, and so I'm going to alter the section to allow people with displays like mine view the information better. - Ok. I've tried a number of solutions (only in preview), and can't get them to work excatkly right yet, but I do still think the section needs some attention. I'll try again later. DDStretch (talk) 14:01, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Airline Destinations
Why is it necessary to have the list of airlines and destinations served from North West Airports in this article, when a link to the Wikipedia page of each airport article is already provided, where this information can be easily found? The information on this page is now significantly out of date, and I can't see any benefit to updating this separate list each time an airline / destination change is made on the respective airport pages, so I propose deletion of these lists. Any thoughts? Thanks. SempreVolando (talk) 11:11, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- With no comments forthcoming from other users and the information becoming more and more out of date by the day I have removed this section. SempreVolando (talk) 15:19, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
