[edit] Population in the 1950s

What was the population of North shore, New Zealand around the 1950's? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 202.89.40.148 (talk • contribs).

Probably not quite 50,000 people. The population in 1961 was approximately 53,000, and it was already growing quickly. For more detail, see the second paragraph in this 1966 encyclopaedia article on patterns of settlement in Auckland. -- Avenue 00:39, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Name change

I will request a move swap of this article to North Shore City, seeing that this is the official name. Cheers. MadMaxDog 09:11, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

I went ahead and did it; there was only a simple redirect in the way. -- Avenue 10:40, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
