Not sure where this idea of the name comes from. Online I can find this: http://www.galapagos.to/NOTES-1.HTM#Edwardes Which says they are presumably named after Sir George Francis Seymour (1787-1870), who commanded the Pacific Station in the mid-19th century. Kert01 14:35, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
