[edit] Little Michoacan versus Little Mexico

There is a large Latina population in the general area including Redwood City that gets referred to as Little Mexico. It is worth noting that the specific area around North Fair Oaks which is along Middlefield and Fair Oaks Avenues has a particularly large representation of immigrants from Michoacan, Mexico. This is consistent with immigration often involving many people from nearby areas often travelling or networking together and making use of family ties when possible. I am looking for good references for this, but for now I think there should be a really good reason for removing it because it is notable that this one coastal state has such an influence on this little town. This is exhibited in a whole range of ways such as seafood and fish tacos being very common because most have always lived by the Pacific coast, to gang problems being greatly reduced in this particular community.
