It seems to be commonly accepted on Wikipedia that on a city/town article, the people chosen for a list of "Notable Residents" should have some appeal as a celebrity or be otherwise notable in business, medicine or some other field. Whether or not that is defined by a certain number of Google hits is up for discussion. I have deleted the snowboarder, Erkan Kose, on the list for North Brunswick because there is no source information on the internet that tells us why he is notable or otherwise famous.--Dalmatian Mommy 20:56, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- I have posted a detailed explanation of the relevant policies on the user's talk page. The Erkan Kose doe snot establish notability and additions on this and other articles as a notable do not establish a connection to the places in question. Any further additions without proper documentation and sources should be removed, and (as warned) be treated as vandalism. Alansohn 21:38, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
