[edit] Requested move
There's another Norman Kay, who was a famous American bridge player [1]. According to this Google search, both are about equally notable, as the results are interspersed. There are few solutions to this problem:
- Move the composer to Norman F. Kay, which is he sometimes credited to, and the bridge player remains here. {{for}} or like should be used on both.
- Move the composer to Norman Kay (composer), and the bridge player to Norman Kay (bridge player). Use this page as {{dab}}.
- Create a new article on Norman Kay (bridge player), retain the composer here, and add {{for}} here for the bridge player. Duja 15:05, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- Why was this move not simply implemented? I doubt anyone would have taken issue with it. Needless bureaucracy is a bad thing.--SB | T 23:04, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Survey
Please indicate "support" or "oppose", along with a short explanation below.
[edit] Option 1
- Conditional support as proposer, as the most elegant solution, provided that he's widely recognized as Norman F. Kay. Otherwise, prefer #2. Duja 15:09, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Option 2
- Conditional support as proposer, if #1 is out. Duja 15:09, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- Support Google returns around 500 citations for "Norman Kay" composer and only about 15 for "Norman F. Kay" Xlmvp 15:32, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- Support since both are equally notable. -- MisterHand 20:16, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
