[edit] History
Norwood New Town was built form 1840 as one of the main working class areas of early Norwood (the main others were South Norwood and the 'Triangle' of West Norwood).
[edit] Transport
[edit] Bus
Buses use the A214 (Crown Dale) and the A215 (Knight's Hill).
[edit] Rail
The high elevation of the area has made rail access very difficult so the area does not have a station of its own. The closest railway stations are West Norwood and Gipsy Hill.
[edit] Air
East Croydon railway station is a short train journey away. It provides frequent services to Gatwick Airport.
