Norway is a city in Benton County, Iowa, United States. The population was 601 at the 2000 census. The city is about 17 miles (27 km) southwest of downtown Cedar Rapids. It is part of the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Statistical Area. Norway is the setting of the movie The Final Season.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 601 people, 241 households, and 173 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,320.9 people per square mile (515.7/km²). There were 247 housing units at an average density of 542.9/sq mi (211.9/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.00% White, 0.50% African American, 0.50% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.17% of the population.
There were 241 households out of which 32.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.2% were married couples living together, 9.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.2% were non-families. 25.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.49 and the average family size was 3.01.
In the city the population was spread out with 26.1% under the age of 18, 6.8% from 18 to 24, 29.1% from 25 to 44, 24.1% from 45 to 64, and 13.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 93.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.9 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $44,018, and the median income for a family was $50,278. Males had a median income of $36,103 versus $20,917 for females. The per capita income for the city was $20,300. About 4.3% of families and 5.1% of the population were below the poverty line, including 9.6% of those under age 18 and 5.3% of those age 65 or over.
