Norton Township Located in the southwest corner of Kankakee County, Illinois. The population was 1067 at the 2000 census. It includes Buckingham, Cabery, Reddick and Union Hill. Norton Township was organized in 1857 out of Essex Township.
It is located at 41.059116 N, -88.185883 W. It has 128.96 km² (50 sq mi). (49.79square miles) of land. It has 392 housing units.

The township is governed by an elected Town Board of a Supervisor and four Trustees. The Township also has an elected Assessor, Clerk, Highway Commissioner and Supervisor. The Township Office is located at 16930 West 6000 South Road, Buckingham, IL 60917.
