Northway Books

Northway Books (also known as Northway Publications) is a British publishing company based in London. It specialises in books about jazz and especially autobiographies and biographies of musicians. Its main focus is on documenting jazz history in Britain and Europe.

Northway began operations in 2000, and has since published autobiographies by saxophonist-bandleader Harry Gold, trumpeter-cornettist Digby Fairweather, saxophonist-club owner Ronnie Scott, bassist Coleridge Goode, trumpeter John Chilton, and clarinettist-saxophonist Vic Ash. Its catalogue includes biographies of Johnny Griffin, Hank Mobley, Nat Gonella and Joe Harriott, Jim Godbolt's History of Jazz in Britain, Ian Carr's Music Outside: Contemporary Jazz in Britain and books by playwright-jazz lover Alan Plater and critic Peter Vacher, as well as the war memoir Boys at War.

Northway is based at 39 Tytherton Road, London N19 4PZ, UK.
