From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Northolt High School is a secondary school in Northolt in the London borough of Ealing, Middlesex. Its headmaster is Chris Modi.

The school was featured in a documentary series called The Choir, on the BBC during December, 2006.[1] The choir director, Gareth Malone, was at the school from November 2005 to July 2006, before taking the choir to China, to compete in the World Choir Games.

In November 2005 they began constructing a £1.5 million sports hall that was completed in November 2006 and opened in January 2007, however, due to bad workmanship the gym floor is currently being reworked due to lack of friction, leading to accidents during physical education. The head teacher is Chris Modi and it also has a CLC and an astroturf pitch. There is also a recently renovated Sixth Form centre which is still being finished (as of sept 2008), this opened in 2007. It is sponsored by the Jack Petchey Achievement Awards Scheme, which aims to motivate students through small monetary prizes to their preferred school department. The school has technology school status.
