Northern State Correctional Facility

The Northern State Correctional Facility (NSCF) is a state prison in Vermont, USA.

Located in the city of Newport, Orleans County. NSCF contains medium security male prisoners. It has a maximum capacity of 400 prisoners.[1] The Vermont Department of Corrections is responsible for running this prison.

The facility hosts a branch of the Community High School of Vermont, accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. It graduated 13 men in 2007.[2]

The superintendent is Michael Bellizzi.[3]

In 2008, the budget for the facility was $10 million.[3]

The prisoners have formed a theater group which they have named "The Usual Suspects."
