The Northern Sámi Wikipedia is the edition of Wikipedia in the Northern Sámi language. By article count, it is the 115th largest Wikipedia with more than 2,000 articles as of July, 2007.
Although the Northern Sámi language project was started in 2004, it is still hovering at a very primitive stage in spite of users trying to drum up support in the community. The relatively small number of articles is due to the minute number of native Northern Sámi speakers on the project. There are also a number of non-native speakers involved in the project, including 3 out of the 4 sysops.
