The Northern Raiders (also known as The Raiders) are a semi-professional rugby league club located in New York in the United States. The team plays in the American National Rugby League competition and has done so since their formation in 2002 but they are yet to win a championship title. Since 2002 the club has gone through various name changes originally being called the Wilmington Vikings before moving to New Jersey and becoming the New Jersey Raiders and finally settling on the Northern Raiders in the 2003 season.
For the 2006 AMNRL season the club was led by Australian player-coach Ben Kelly but unfortunately just failed to qualify for the AMNRL playoff series.

[edit] Uniform & Colours
For their inaugural American National Rugby League season the club adopted the colors of white, green and black but the uniforms they wear are predominatly white they have kept this uniform till this day. They are also part of an affiliate partnership with Australian National Rugby League club the Canberra Raiders[1].

Since their inception and first competitive season in 2002 the Raiders have used the Andrews Field in Essex County, New York as their home ground and will do the same for the 2007 season.
The stadium is also used for soccer and rugby union teams.
