The Municipal District of Northern Lights No. 22 is a municipal district in north western Alberta, Canada.

It is located in Census Division 17. On Apr 01, 1995, the former Improvement District No. 22 was incorporated as Municipal District of Northern Lights No. 22. The municipal seat was set in the Town of Manning.

In 2001, the municipal district had a population of 4,217 in 1,609 dwellings, a 5.5% decrease from 1996. On a surface of 20,743.26 km² it had a density of 0.2 inhabitants/km².[3]

In 2006, Northern Lights No. 22 had a population of 3,772 living in 1,475 dwellings, a 10.6% decrease from 2001. The municipal district has a land area of 20,745.45 km² (8,009.9 sq mi) and a population density of 0.2/km² (0.5/sq mi).[2]
