North from Here is the second album by the Finnish heavy metal band Sentenced. Despite the fact that this band is not from Sweden, this album is sometimes credited as the main foundation of melodic death metal. Lyrics of the album deal with Sentenced's typical melancholy, but lyrics of many tracks of the album deals also with the mythology and history of Finnish warfare and the national romantic epic of Kalevala.
