North Rockland High School

North Rockland High School is a highschool located in Thiells, New York, serving 10th to 12th grade students from the northern section of Rockland County, in southern New York. It is the only High School in the Haverstraw-Stony Point District, although in 2004 the district opened Fieldstone Secondary School for 8th and 9th grade students. The current principal is Dr. Michael J. Gill, who is moving up from the West Haverstraw Elementary School. Gill will become the 4th principal of North Rockland in the 2007-2008 school year, joining Dr. George Jochum, Mr. Israel Bordanick, and Mr. Dennis Hand.

North Rockland is best known for their sporting programs; mainly football, bowling, volleyball, and soccer; which have won numerous awards and titles including many Section 1 Class AA championship wins. Most recently, the "Red Raider" boys baseball team and girls bowling team were runner ups for the 2007 State Championships in their respective sports. The girls soccer team as well were State Champion runner-ups in 2006.

Of the other high schools in the county, North Rockland has one of the most supportive fan bases around, drawing close to 2,000 fans for every home football game.
