Unit of the Old IRA in the Irish War of Independence, centred around the village of Ballinalee, where it was led by Sean Mac Eoin.

Membership was local, with many members also coming from the neighbouring counties of Cavan and Leitrim.

Most famous engagement was the Battle of Ballinalee. Another of note was the Clonfin Ambush.
