North East Pennsylvania Miners

North East Pennsylvania Miners, better known as NEPA Miners is a semi-pro football team. Located in Scranton, Pennsylvania, as part of the North American Football League (NAFL). Owner, head coach and offensive coordinator Daniel A. LaMagna will be leading the way “For the Love of the Game". LaMagna who spent 2006 as the running back coach for the Lackawanna College Falcons and previously head coach of the Southern Tier Green Machine and Scranton Eagles is joined by a host of assistant coaches. Assistant Coach Charlie Wysocki formally of Meyers and the University of Maryland star joins the team along with Marty Evans defensive coordinator, Travis Grobes assistant defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach, and former Scranton Eagles coach Mike Woodard will handle special teams. First game on Saturday June 30, 2007 against the Sckuylkill County Coal Crackers took place at Scranton Memorial Stadium. The First Annual Charlie Wysocki Camp was on April 14th, 2007. Charlie Wysocki had a life long football career that started at Meyers High School where he was known as "Charlie D".
