[edit] History
The first NC 205 was in Cleveland County, beginning in Kings Mountain and running south to the South Carolina border. [1] This route was subsumed by NC 216 and US 29, and killed in 1933.[1]
The current routing appeared shortly thereafter, and appears on maps by 1935.[1]
