The Thirteenth congressional district of North Carolina elects one representative to the United States House of Representatives. Created as a new seat in 2002 after the state gained population in the 2000 United States Census, the seat has only been held by one individual: Congressman Brad Miller, a member of the Democratic Party from Wake County, North Carolina. In addition to part of Wake County, the district includes all of Person and Caswell counties as well as parts of Rockingham, Granville, Guilford, and Alamance counties.
