North Auxiliary Airfield (ICAO: KXNO, FAA LID: XNO) is a military airfield located 3 miles east of North, a town in Orangeburg County, South Carolina, United States.[1][2]
It is owned by the U.S. Air Force and is used primarily for practice landings and takeoffs by the airlift wings based at Charleston Air Force Base. The 437th Support Group, Civil Engineers Squadron operates the base. The base supports C-17 Globemaster III training for 315th Airlift Wing. The only permanently assigned personnel are 10 firefighters and one civilian grounds keeper.[1]
