North Atlantic Refinery

North Atlantic Refinery is a crude oil refinery located in Come By Chance and has a refinery capacity of 115,000 barrels of oil per day. It is operated by the company North Atlantic Refining and is one of the biggest employers in the province. Calgary-based Harvest Energy Trust purchased the refinery and related assets for $1.6 billion in August 2006. Swiss-based Vitol SA put the refinery on the market in December 2005.
