[edit] History

Originally opened in 1954 with the anchors of Albertsons, The Crescent, Sears and Woolworth. Albertsons and Woolworth were eventually closed. The mall underwent its first expansion since which added J.C. Penney[1] (which moved from its Shadle Center location) and Troutman's Emporium in 1992. Frederick & Nelson, which had renamed The Crescent store in 1986, closed in 1992, and after initially agreeing to sell the unit to Gottschalks,[2] eventually sold the location to Lamonts in 1993.[3] The Bon Marché also constructed a store in 1993. The Lamonts store in its turn was closed and was demolished for an expansion in 2000 which added Nordstrom Rack,[4] Regal Cinemas and Barnes & Noble. Mervyns was closed in 2006 and replaced with Kohl's in 2007.
