Norsel Point

Norsel Point is a rocky point on the northwest side of Arthur Harbor, on the southwest coast of Anvers Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Norsel Point is located at 64°46′S, 64°06′W. Norsel Point was surveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) in 1955. Norsel Point was named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-names Committee (UK-APC) for the Norwegian sealing vessel Norsel, which was chartered by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) for the 1954-1955 summer season to establish the station at Arthur Harbor.
