Norman Douglas (New Zealand)

Norman Vazey Douglas (1910 -26 August 1985) was a New Zealand politician of the Labour Party.

He represented the Auckland Central electorate in Parliament from 1960 to 1975, when he retired. He was awarded a Q.S.O. in 1976. In 1942-43 he had supported Labour rebel John A. Lee.

He was born at Hikurangi, and died in Auckland. He married Dorothy Jennie Anderton, a daughter of Labour MP Bill Anderton in 1937. They had one daughter and three sons, two of whom, Roger Douglas and Malcolm Douglas, also became Labour MPs.
