Norfolk cases

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Norfolk leather cases were luggage made in the 1940s and 1950s for business and domestic applications. They came in a range of sizes, from that of a suitcase to a much smaller attaché case. Norfolk cases were most unusual, as they were made of moulded leather that resulted in cases with no cut or sewn corners. More information can be found in the book Vintage Leather by Helenka Gulshan or the present makers Margan Ltd. Further articles on Norfolk cases can also be found in articles by T3 in their December 2006 issue. These Sheffield-made cases are now highly collectible and can be recognised by the stamp Norfolk on each case.
