Nora "Dodo" Denney (3 September 1927[1] – 20 November 2005) was an American stage, television, and film actress.
One of her most notable roles was as Mrs. Teavee in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, starring Gene Wilder and Jack Albertson. She was initially the producers' second choice behind Jean Stapleton who did the pilot for All in the Family instead. She was also memorable as the Bloomingdales shop lady who assisted Daryl Hannah's mermaid character in buying new clothes in Splash.
Denney's sons, Dix and John, are the founders of the Los Angeles based punk band The Weirdos. Denney died on 20 November 2005, aged 77, after a brief illness at her home in Crestline, California.
