[edit] Your edit to National Commodity Exchange Limited

[edit] Message posted on Friday, June 1, 2007

Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to National Commodity Exchange Limited. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites (http://www.ncel.com.pk/ and http://www.ncel.com.pk/PressRelease/Shaukat_Tareen_elected_chairman_NCEL.doc in this case) or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:National Commodity Exchange Limited with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:National Commodity Exchange Limited with a link to the details.

Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own words to avoid any copyright infringement. After you do so, you should place a {{hangon}} tag on the article page and leave a note at Talk:National Commodity Exchange Limited saying you have done so. An administrator will review the new content before taking action.

It is also important that all Wikipedia articles have an encyclopedic tone and follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

[edit] Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Historical Value of Yen.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Historical Value of Yen.JPG. The copy called Image:Historical Value of Yen.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 12:00, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Image-Khimaz.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Image-Khimaz.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:09, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Little context in Karachi downtown.jpg

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Karachi downtown.jpg, by Matticus78 (talk ยท contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Karachi downtown.jpg is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Karachi downtown.jpg, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Karachi downtown.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 07:49, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] re-uploads

It is totally pointless to re-upload images which are already on Wikipedia or the Commons, eg. Image:Image-Khimaz.JPG and Image:Karachi downtown.jpg. Why did you do it? Please stop. -- RHaworth 09:34, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:NCEL Logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:NCEL Logo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Climate of Pakistan

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Climate of Pakistan, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.geography-site.co.uk/pages/countries/climate/pakistan_climate.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 07:48, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Featured portal candidates/Portal:Pakistan/archive1

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! - Mtmelendez (Talk|UB|Home) 22:09, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
