[edit] Playing career
Nolan Pratt was selected in the 5th round, 115th overall, in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft by the Hartford Whalers.
Pratt's current scouting report from the TSN website: Is at his best when taking the body consistently and keeping his game simple. Can play on either side of the ice. Has leadership qualities. (http://tsn.ca/nhl/teams/players/bio/?id=97&hubname=nhl-sabres)
On June 24, 2000, he was traded along with a 2000 1st round pick (Vaclav Nedorost), a 2000 2nd round pick (Jared Aulin), and Philadelphia's 2nd round pick in 2000 (Argis Saviels) to Colorado for Sandis Ozolinsh and a second round pick (Tomas Kurka).
On June 24, 2001, he was again traded, this time to the Tampa Bay Lightning for a 2001 NHL Entry Draft 6th round pick (Scott Horvath).
He was signed by the Buffalo Sabres on November 1, 2007.[1] With the Sabres, Pratt is most often paired with Dmitri Kalinin.[2]
Most recently, since the departure of the Sabres star defenseman, Brian Campbell, Pratt has had a more proactive role on the Sabres and is now being paired with Nathan Paetsch.
He has won 2 Stanley Cups in 2001 with Colorado and 2004 with Tampa Bay.
