Noelle Scaggs

Noelle Scaggs (born c. 1979) is a singer-songwriter from Los Angeles. She is the lead vocalist for soul band The Rebirth, and has also featured on recordings by other artists, including The Black Eyed Peas, Dilated Peoples, M.E.D of Stones Throw Records, Quantic, Defari, and The Lions of Ubiquity Records.^{[citation needed]}

In 2003 she released her first 12" single, "The Craft" (featuring hip-hop trio Dilated Peoples), on Up Above Records. In 2005 her band The Rebirth released their first album This Journey In on independent label Kajmere Sound. The first single, "This Journey In", hit the top 5 of many playlist throughout Europe and Japan,^{[citation needed]} as well as attracting the attention of DJs such as BBC Radio 1's Gilles Peterson, King Britt of the group Digable Planets, and Norman Jay MBE.^{[citation needed]}
