[edit] What's the purpose of this template?

Is it to distinguish articles that the creator doesn't want speedily deleted from those that the creator would be just fine having speedily deleted? I think this template comes very close to being eligible for speedy deletion itself, under T2. I'm very tempted to nominate this for deletion, but I'll give you a chance to explain why I shouldn't first. Sarcasticidealist (talk) 21:48, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Not the creator, but I think it's a kind of response to the NPP tagging of new articles that are under development. Quite whether or not this template really works, I'm not sure... Fritzpoll (talk) 21:55, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Just noticed this. Just to let you know that I've put it up for TfD, simply because I feel it serves the same purpose as the {{hangon}} tag. However feel free to comment to the contrary. PeterSymonds (talk) 22:04, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
