Their self-titled album was the second release from the South Dakota band. It is often considered both their most mature and defining work as a natural development of the first album; the following albums (The Years To Come and Defined By Struggle) suffered as a result of the loss of vocalist Tom Hentges, which led to dramatic changes in the band's sound; if one compares this album and Defined By Struggle, the listener would be forgiven for mistaking Defined By Struggle as the work of another artist.
