Nobuharu Asahara

Nobuharu Asahara (born 21 June 1972 in Kita-ku, Kobe) is a Japanese athlete who specializes in the 100 metres and long jump.
He finished twelfth in long jump at the 1995 World Championships, and also participated in the 1997 edition. He won a silver medal at the 1990 Asian Junior Championships, and won the 1993 Asian Championships in a new championship record (which has later been broken) of 8.13 metres.
In the 100 metres he participated at the World Championships in 1997, 2001, 2003 and 2005. In addition he won silver medals in both 100 m and 4 x 100 m relay at the 2002 Asian Games.
