[edit] Song information

"Nobody Knows Me" was included as the B-Side of the "Nothing Fails" maxi-single (and the European "Love Profusion" single] in 2003. The club release included remixes from Above & Beyond, Mount Sims and Peter Rauhofer.

The song was performed on Madonna's 2004 Re-Invention Tour as the third track, and an edited version of the performance is featured in the documentary I'm Going to Tell You a Secret.

The title of the song was used for a fanclub-only career-retrospective book released in late 2003 (see Madonna bibliography).

"Nobody Knows Me" is also renowned by Madonna fans as it is one of the singer's favorite songs of her career. She is also very fond of "Impressive Instant" from Music and "Future Lovers" from Confessions on a Dance Floor and this resulted in all three being released as promo singles.

The song is a rare example of Madonna singing about her Kabbalah beliefs.

[edit] Music video

An official music video was commissioned from Dustin Robertson of Aviddiva. The video is a career retrospective and includes excerpts from music videos, movies, TV appearances and magazine covers spanning 1983 to 2003. The video premiered at the 7th annual Director's Cuts Film Festival on January 7, 2005 at Universal Studios in Universal City, California[citation needed]. It was released only to dance clubs in the US and has never aired on television.
