The station is located between Douglas Street and Mons Parade. Shops are located near the station. Heatherton Road is located within 500 metres of the station via a notorious roundabout railway crossing, where many accidents occur on the roundabout itself due to high traffic volume in the area, especially during peak hour.

[edit] Facilities

The station consists of two side platforms. Platform 1 contains a large brick building with an enclosed waiting room and a ticket office inside, while platform 2 contains a small brick building. A large Metcard machine is located inside the waiting room, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins. A small Metcard machine is located at the entrance to platform 2.

Both platforms can be accessed via Douglas Street and Mons Parade.
