NoAdware
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
NoAdware is an anti-spyware program previously known as a rogue application by spyware warrior. It has been removed from the rogue list almost 4 years ago and is no longer rated as suspect. No major anti-virus or anti-spyware applications detect Noadware in any capacity. It is updated a minimum of 3-4 times per week and mantains a mediocre rate of detection.
[edit] History
NoAdware 4 has been accused many times of being a rogue antispyware program. It also used (and somewhat still does) multiple websites that appear to be advertising a different product. Its earliest versions were reported to give false positives, although newer versions decreased the number where still a huge amount of false positives have been reported.
NoAdware was de-listed on Spyware Warrior's rogue antispyware list in early 2004, and it is no longer rated as suspect.
The NoAdware site offers a "free trial" that will scan the system and ask for payment before removing all the malware it has detected.
