No Time to Kill is a 1993 (see 1993 in music) album by country singer Clint Black. The title is a play on his debut album, Killin' Time.
The album has the hits "No Time to Kill", "A Bad Goodbye", "State of Mind", "Half the Man", and "A Good Run of Bad Luck". "A Bad Goodbye" is a duet with Wynonna Judd, recorded after Black and Judd toured together for 1993's "Black and Wy" concert tour. "A Good Run of Bad Luck" was a #1 single that was featured in the movie Maverick.
On the title track, Black wrote: "'No Time to Kill' is a throw-back to the first album. When I recorded Killin' Time, I'd been in a holding pattern for the two years between the time I was signed to my record deal and the time my album was released. As you might imagine, there was a lot of thumb-twiddling going on, and that's what inspired the song 'Killin' Time.' Fortunately, the opposite is now true. I really have no time to kill. This song is about recognizing that the most valuable resource we have on this Earth is time. 'There's no time to kill between the cradle and the grave.' I wanted to say that we have to really live every moment; it's foolish to wait until we're old to look back and place the appropriate value on the time we have on Earth."
The album also contains "Happiness Alone", a song written with Jimmy Buffett, and "Tuckered Out", a song that references numerous other country acts, including Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Restless Heart, Wynonna Judd, Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Reba McEntire, Patty Loveless, Lyle Lovett, Tanya Tucker, and Black himself in the chorus alone.
