No More Souls

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

No More Souls is a short fan film based on the characters and lore of the Hellraiser series.

The film is approximately six minutes long with just over 4 minutes of on-screen video action. It was written, produced, and directed by Gary J. Tunnicliffe, a special effects and makeup artist who has also acted and has done some directing, most notably with Tag Entertainment’s critically panned Hansel and Gretel (2002). Which is now in its second release and has sold over 500,000 copies.

No More Souls had a budget of only $2,400, half of which went into renting a high-definition camera. [1]

This short film was included as an "easter egg" on the DVD release of the 2005 movie, Hellraiser: Deader, the seventh film in the Hellraiser series. No More Souls can be viewed by going to the second page of the "Special Features" section, highlighting (but not clicking on) the "play button", and pressing "down" then "right". An image of The Lament Configuration will appear on the screen and No More Souls will begin.

No More Souls follows Pinhead many years in the future, where all the humans on earth have died. As a Cenobite, Pinhead has become unnecessary in Hell as there is no work left for him or his followers. As a last-ditch effort to have “one last slice of sensation,” he uses the Lament Configuration to conjure the Chatterer and Bound and allow them to slaughter him. His last words are, "The sweet suffering..."
