No Aircraft Noise

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

No Aircraft Noise, or more fully The Common Cause - No Aircraft Noise, was a minor Australian political party that operated from 1995 until 1999.[1] It was dedicated to removing noise pollution for residents of Sydney, which was generated by the city's three airports. The party suggested that the airports should be shifted to the edge of Sydney, away from the dense residential areas.[2] The party's former adherents included current New South Wales Greens MLC Sylvia Hale. Among its best results was a vote of 13.61% in the 1996 federal election in the inner-Sydney seat of Grayndler.
