[edit] 38sqn to Townsville

I heard/read a media release sometime in December regarding 38SQN being moved to RAAF Townsville (rather than just having the detachment in Townsville). If I can find a reference to this release, I shall make the relevant changes to the article. EMBaldwin (talk) 09:49, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

There's nothing on this on the list of Department of Defence media releases at: http://www.defence.gov.au/media/deptrels.cfm?UseMonth=12&UseYear=2007 though it certainly sounds feasible. --Nick Dowling (talk) 10:11, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

The only mention I could find is a release by Peter Lindsay on the Defence Housing Australia site (http://www.dha.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/13992/new-homes-in-townsville.pdf - 4th paragraph) about new defence homes needing to be built. I initially heard about the planned relocation on the local television news.EMBaldwin (talk) 23:14, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
